Ham and Cheese Biscuits - Recipe

These biscuits will be a great addition to your next brunch. Add a fried egg in between to make it a meal. These biscuits freeze well, too.

Ham and Cheese Biscuits Recipe
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 450ยบ.
  • In a medium sized bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  • Add butter and cut in with pastry blender until mixture looks like coarse meal.
  • Blend in cheese, ham, mustard, and onions.
  • Add buttermilk, stirring until dough is soft.
  • Knead lightly on floured board. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 2" cutter and place on prepared baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until golden in color.

-1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
-1/4 cup ham, minced
-1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
-2 tablespoons onion, minced
-1/3 cup buttermilk
