Cranberry Cocktail Slush - Recipe

A holiday cocktail slush for those who prefer a not so sweet beverage. There is not extra sugar added so it keeps the sweetness and calories down. Don't worry, the gelatin, orange juice, and lemonade concentrate provide enough sweetness to keep you from puckering up. This slush is a little lighter and refreshing than others.

Cranberry Cocktail Slush Recipe
Directions
  • Bring 1 cup of water to a boil and add gelatin; stir until dissolved.
  • In a gallon container, such as an ice cream pail, combine the cranberry juice, cold water, vodka, orange juice concentrate, and lemonade concentrate. Stir in the gelatin water.
  • Cover the container and place in the freezer. It could take 12 to 18 hours to freeze completely.
  • Try to stir slush after it starts to freeze and gets slushy, approximately 4 to 6 hours after placing in the freezer. This will help keep the vodka from settling to the bottom.
  • To serve, mix 2/3 slush with 1/3 soda. Stir to mix slush and soda.
