- Butter the sides and bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan; set aside.
- Crush 20 of the Oreos into coarse pieces by smashing lightly with the bottom of a glass. Do not smash into too small of pieces.
- Combine the Oreo pieces and the Chex cereal in a large bowl; set aside.
- Crush the remaining 4 Oreos in a separate bowl. Crush into a little smaller pieces than the others; set aside.
- Melt the butter in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl. Add the marshmallows and stir to coat.
- Microwave the butter and marshmallows for another 1 1/2 minutes at 30 second intervals. Stir after each 30 seconds. Just microwave until the marshmallows and all melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Once the mixture is smooth, immediately pour over the Chex cereal and Oreo pieces; stir until evenly coated.
- Pour into the buttered baking pan, spread out evenly and press down firmly. Butter hands slightly to prevent the mixture from sticking to your hands when pressing down.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave at 30 second intervals until all melted; stir between intervals.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of the bars. Sprinkle the top with the 4 remaining crushed Oreos. Cool and cut into bars.
