| Directions | In mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center and pour oil, egg and water in. Stir with a fork to blend, adding more water if dough seems too stiff (it should be sticky but not runny). Drop by spoonsful into boiling broth. Dumplings will plump up as they cook. If cooking uncovered, then turn dumpling over to cook other side. If cooking covered, no need to turn dumpling. |
