Directions
In a 4 quart saucepan, mix sugar, water, red hot candies and food coloring together. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to melt the red hots. When candies are melted, turn heat down to a hard simmer and add apples. Cook slowly, turning apples occasionally. Cook until tender. Remove to serving dish. Cook syrup until thicker and pour over apples. Refrigerate to set.

-6 apples, peeled and cored (medium)
-2 cups sugar
-3 cups water
-1/2 cup Red Hot Cinnamon Candies
-1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
