Core and quarter unpeeled apples. In a 4-6 quart kettle combine apples and cider. Cook till soft. (about 30 minutes). Press through food mill. Boil gently for 30 minutes. Stirring occasionally. Add sugar and spices. Cook and stir over low heat till sugar dissolves. Boil gently stirring frequently till of desired thickness. Ladle into hot jars leaving 1/2 inch head space. Adjust lids. Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
Makes 8 half pints.
