Place cool eggs (just out of the refrigerator) into a saucepan and fully cover eggs with cool/cold water. Place over medium to medium high heat. Heat to boiling. Cover the pan; lower heat so it barely boils for 4 - 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let eggs stay covered in pan 5 more minutes (can be longer if desired). Drain the water from eggs, rinse with cool water until cool enough to handle. They can be peeled immediately. |
