| Directions |
- Combine all ingredients in small saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Bring the sauce to a boil and then turn down the heat so sauce is at a simmer. Simmer until the barbecue sauce thickens slightly.
- Preheat the grill on high.
- Coat the pieces of chicken with oil and then place on the preheated grill.
- Baste the top side of the chicken, cover the grill, and turn down to medium.
- Turn the chicken about every 5 to 6 minutes and baste the top with sauce each time.
- Continue to cook, turn, and baste every 5 to 6 minutes until the chicken is done.
- This recipe makes about 1 cup, enough for 3 to 4 lbs. of cut up chicken.
