Combine all ingredients and mix well. Makes enough for 1 to 2 stir-fries. May be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator. When ready to use, stir-fry your choice of meat and then vegetables, adding this sauce at the end of cooking, along with 1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tablespoons water.
This is a bold, slightly spicy Szechuan-style sauce. For a thicker sauce, sprinkle a teaspoon of cornstarch over the sizzling vegetables before you add the sauce. Look for ingredients in the Asian/international section of the grocery store.
