| Directions | In a large skillet, brown beef; drain. Meanwhile, in a large sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter. Add grated onion and cook 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add oregano and salt; cook until onions start to brown, approximately 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Add tomatoes, sugar and basil; simmer for 10 minutes. Add cooked beef and simmer 10 more minutes. Serve over spaghetti or other pasta. |
