Brown ground beef and drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer 45 minutes; stir occasionally. Makes 5 to 6 quarts. The chili tastes better the next day. Make it ahead of time. *** For individual serving - freeze chili in ice cube tray. Remove the chili cubes from tray and store in a freezer container. You can always have homemade chili for you hot dogs. One cube is enough for one hot dog. *** Divide the chili into 2 equal parts. You can add 4 cups of pinto beans to 1/2 of chili and have the other half for hot dogs. *** I use Hunts tomato sauce and McCormick Chili powder. |
