| Directions | Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare egg noodles according to package. Meanwhile, sprinkle ground beef with 1 1/4 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until meat crumbles and is no longer pink. Stir in tomato paste, cook 2 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, 1/2 cup water and 1/4 tsp of salt. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 8 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix together cooked egg noodles, cream cheese, sour cream and green onion. Place noodle mixture in the bottom of a lightly greased 11x7 inch baking dish. Top with beef mixture and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Bake for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly. |
