Bisibele Bhath

A cooked rice dish that originated in southern India which is traditionally made with rice, lentils, vegetables, and spices. A masala sauce is also prepared when making Bisibele Bhath, which helps to enhance and bring out the spicy, tangy flavors contained in the Bisibele Bhath. Bisibele translated means hot(Bisi)dals(bele)or hot lentils, while Bhath means sauce with rice which translates into a hot dal or lentil dish with rice in a sauce.
