A type of sweet crumb made from crushed graham crackers to be used as a base, a crust or as a topping for desserts and various baked goods. Typically, whole graham cracker squares or rectangles are used for crushing into crumbs. To crush, use a food processor and the recommended knife blade or a rolling pin. When using a rolling pin, the graham crackers can be placed on a flat surface or broken and dropped into a plastic bag for ease of cleanup. Then use the rolling pin to repeatedly crush the crackers into crumbs by rolling back and forth over the crackers. Approximately 3 to 4 standard rectangles are required to make a cup of loose crumbs.
