A tool used to cut rolled out dough into diamond shapes to produce Norwegian cookies called fattigmann. The tool also cuts a lengthwise slit in the middle of the diamond where one of the long ends of the diamond shape is pulled through to form the cookies finished shape. The cookies are then deep fried rather than baked. The cookies shape and the slit in the middle can be cut by hand but the fattigmann cutter creates the shape and adds the slit in one process as the cutter is rolled across the dough.
