A milk product that is provided from the mammary glands of goats. Goat milk is popular in some parts of the world and believed to be more easily digested than other forms of milk from cows. Goat milk will have a higher fat content, approximately 1.25 grams per ounce compared to 1 gram per ounce of cow's milk, but a lower lactose content. Fresh goat milk can be found in some speciality stores, while canned goat milk is more readily available in a variety of food stores.
