Sprouted Rice Flour Storage
Sprouted Rice Flour Storage
Posted: 08/12/2012 8:38:37 PM
I purchsed a package of sprouted rice flour and forgot to mark it when I had purchased it as it has no expiration date. I put it in my refrigerator and can't remember when or how long it has been in there. I believe it has been a year but not sure. How long can this flour be stored, unopened in its orginal plastic bag? Is it safe to use for baking? Thank you! :)

I think your sprouted rice flour will be fine to use. I found some information in regard to shelf life and storage of sprouted flours and it indicates that even stored in a dry location without being refrigerated that the flour can be stored up to 18 months. Go to http://www.breadlink.co.uk/sproutedflour.html to see this information on sprouted flours. The information in regard to the shelf life, freshness and storage is towards the bottom of the page.

Has anyone dehydrated tomatoes before? I was wondering how to dry them. Do you just dry the tomatoes or do you have to season them or do anything special to them before you dry them? I have had them before and they are great to snack on.
