Lentils for energy bars
Lentils for energy bars
Posted: 07/19/2012 04:28:15 AM
Hi lovely people,
I'm about to make energy bars with lentils but how can i make the lentils so the energy bars can be stored at room temperature (sealed) for a few months? I see there are lentil based energy bars with long shelf lives. How do they do it? Please help.
Thanks kindly,
Gabriella

I did some searching for information on energy bars made with lentils. I could not find anything indicating a way to make them so that they could be stored at room temperature for any length of time. It sounds like they can be stored in the refrigerator anywhere from 3 to 5 days, otherwise they should be frozen. I would suggest wrapping them individually and storing in the freezer for extended storage time. Remove them as needed.

Has anyone dehydrated tomatoes before? I was wondering how to dry them. Do you just dry the tomatoes or do you have to season them or do anything special to them before you dry them? I have had them before and they are great to snack on.
