Pressure Canning Apple Butter
Pressure Canning Apple Butter

I had the wonderful idea of making apple butter for my staff as a holiday gift. Have a great apple butter recipe and thought I would can the apple butter with a pressure cooker to give it more shelf life, not that it really needs it. Ordered a pressure cooker, got it, but no directions on pressure canning apple butter. Anybody have any suggestions for the pressure canning deprived? Thanks so much.

I found some information a few weeks ago on canning when I was looking through the Tips and Advice section of this sight. It was about canning fruits and vegetable but it had information about pressure canning. I think it would help you understand how to use your pressure canner. Here is the address to that page. Good luck with the Apple Butter. http://www.recipetips.com/kitchen-tips/t--1204/canning-vegetables-and-fruits.asp#canningpressure

Has anyone dehydrated tomatoes before? I was wondering how to dry them. Do you just dry the tomatoes or do you have to season them or do anything special to them before you dry them? I have had them before and they are great to snack on.
